Welcome! My name is Alicia and I am a full-time traveler and house sitter with a passion for photography and sharing the beauty of the world through my lens.

How did I get here?

Twenty years ago, I was a young woman with aspirations of seeing the world signing my life away to the Army who promised to send me to Europe. Unknowingly arriving pregnant in Germany to my first duty station, my life and dreams changed immediately. I deployed to a war zone leaving a baby at home, returned to the US, divorced my way out of an awful relationship, and became burdened with debt.

After years of struggling as a single parent with a mortgage and mouths to feed, I met the love of my life. Together, we worked hard to pay off our debts and create a humble life in Colorado. In 2023, my adult child left home and I became an empty nester. I decided it was time to live the life of travel I had been dreaming of. After many discussions with my husband, I bought one way tickets to Costa Rica. We sold all of our belongings, left home with a modest budget, two backpacks, and a sense of adventure.
